Hey!
I’ve just made a very similar thing using Flash. It looks like just guitar hero, and I have at least as many lanes as you do.
I’ve got 2 songs fully working, both Trivium songs (they are the first band I’ve found to keep perfect time!)

1 BIG problem I’m having though is that songs don’t sync up with the BPM.
Most songs vary VERY slightly as you go through the song, making them impossible to sync. Sometimes the BPM’s are slightly off too, so you set it at 120 say, and it’s too fast. So you try 119 and it’s too slow..!
Let me know if you carried on with this.

Will this software be made available to the public at anytime in the future ? Rockband got me started playing real drums. This would be awesome !!

That is such a sickly awesome idea/implementation. For real, a viable product. Synch it up with itunes and like harmony central or something. Great job man.

Ok, pretty impressed with your software man! Nice stuff! Guitar Hero kicks ass, but it’s very cool to be able to play an actual instrument guitar hero style.

Wish I had this sort of thing when I was trying to learn guitar.

Obviously it’s a little bit ropey, but if you could perfect it, you really could have a good product.

Potentially an iPhone app too?
